Why We Collect Your Data

We collect and use data about our users for three specific purposes:

  1. To understand our audience’s news interests: We analyze which topics, articles, and content categories are most popular among our readers. This helps us determine what types of stories our audience finds most valuable — for example, identifying that readers of one article type are likely to be interested in related content.
  2. To provide aggregated data to advertisers: We provide anonymous, aggregated metrics to advertising partners — such as total page views, impressions served, ad clicks, and broad demographic breakdowns (e.g., number of visitors from a given zip code or region). Individual readers are never identified.
  3. To identify new products and services: We use readership patterns to identify events, educational programs, and new products that our readers may be interested in.

We may share Your personal information in the following situations:

  • With Service Providers: We may share Your personal information with Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service, and to contact You.
  • For business transfers: We may share or transfer Your personal information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of Company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of Our business to another company.
  • With Affiliates: We may share Your information with Our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy.
  • With Your consent: We may disclose Your personal information for any other purpose with Your consent.

Retention of Your Personal Data

The Company will retain Your Personal Data for as long as Your account remains active. If You close or deactivate Your account, we will retain data only as long as is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies, after which time it will be deleted or anonymized.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company’s operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. This information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of Your jurisdiction.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer. The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Disclosure of Your Personal Data

Business Transactions

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Law Enforcement

Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

Other Legal Requirements

The Company may disclose Your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation
  • Protect and defend the rights or property of the Company
  • Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
  • Protect the personal safety of Users of the Service or the public
  • Protect against legal liability

Security of Your Personal Data

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We Do NOT Sell Your Personal Information

YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS NEVER SOLD. PERIOD.

We do not sell, rent, trade, license, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party for monetary compensation or other valuable consideration. We have not done so in the past 12 months and we have no intention of doing so.

While we work with advertising partners, any data shared with advertisers is strictly aggregated and anonymized. For example, we may report that “our site had 2,000 visitors from the 53703 zip code this month” or “500 readers engaged with healthcare articles.” No individual user is identified in any report or disclosure made to advertisers.

Your personal information — including your name, email address, and account details — remains exclusively within our systems and is never disclosed to, sold to, or shared with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

Payment Processing

All online payments on our website are processed through Stripe, a trusted and PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card numbers, debit card numbers, or any other sensitive payment method details on our servers.

When you complete a transaction on our site, the following minimal information is retained locally for our records:

  • Your name
