Rebecca Deschane, vice president of talent development at New North Inc., has been named chairperson of the Wisconsin Economic Development Association board of directors.
Deschane has served on the WEDA board since February 2023 and is expected to serve as chair through January 2027. The statewide organization represents economic development professionals and works on policy, education and professional development initiatives tied to business growth and community competitiveness.
At New North, Deschane works on talent development initiatives, industry alliances, talent attraction, regional upskilling programs and workforce partnerships across Northeast Wisconsin. Her appointment gives the region a leadership role in a statewide organization focused on economic development strategy and execution.
