This Bible verse from Psalms describes what Faith Lutheran Church has been about since our very first worship service on February 13, 1949: sharing the Good News of salvation and eternal life for all who believe in Jesus Christ with the next generation — throughout the Fox Valley and beyond.
With two locations — our Faith Ministry Center on Glendale Avenue just east of Appleton’s Erb Park, and our Celebration Ministry Center on Evergreen Drive next to the USA Youth Sports Complex — we gather in worship and prayer, we grow spiritually and care for each other, and we reach out to the world around us in joyful service.
Worship — We offer traditional worship at our Glendale site Sunday mornings and Monday evenings, and contemporary worship Saturday evenings at the Evergreen center and at both locations on Sunday mornings. In addition, for those unable to attend in person, we broadcast our 8 a.m. Sunday morning traditional service on WHBY radio (1150 AM and 103.5 FM) and livestream it via our website, Facebook page and YouTube channel. Contemporary worship is livestreamed every Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m.
Education — Spiritual growth is important to Faith, so we offer Sunday School classes for 2-year-olds through high school, a midweek youth education program that includes confirmation instruction, and adult Bible classes at various times throughout the week (some of which are livestreamed). Celebration Lutheran School currently serves 90 students in grades 3K through 8 and is being expanded as part of our anniversary celebration to accommodate up to 150 students. Faith Child Care has provided quality care in a family atmosphere since 1989 and is a 4K community partner with the Appleton Area School District.
Outreach — We also share the Good News beyond our walls through:
• being out and about in our communities, sharing our faith and showing God’s love
• our K-9 Comfort Dog ministry
• daily online devotions
• volunteer, in-kind and financial support for local nonprofits
• Faith in Action days to serve the community
• providing worship space for local Congolese and Chinese congregations
• supporting children in Guatemala in partnership with Children’s Hope Chest
From four founding families in 1949 to more than 4,100 members 75 years later, Faith has been blessed to be a blessing to family, friends, coworkers, classmates, neighbors and to the world. Thanks be to God!
