Founded in 2012, Milis Flatwork is a concrete contractor with 30 million-plus square feet of work within Wisconsin’s private, industrial and commercial markets, including projects for T.J. Maxx, WG&R Furniture and Kwik Trip.
Expanding outside the state is “opening Milis Flatwork up to a wider market presence, which in return sets us up for an automatic greater geographic reach,” says CEO and Founder Dylan Milis.
The company’s tilt-up panel division — in which concrete walls are poured horizontally and then lifted and set with a crane — “has been critical to our growth recently,” Milis says.
Milis says the company’s culture of hiring people who take pride in their work has attracted others with a similar mindset. “We have two and three generations that work for Milis Flatwork,” he says.
