Capital Credit Union, now in its 90th year of operation, has more than $2.4 billion in assets with 120,000 member-owners, says President & CEO Laurie Butz. Most recently, the credit union has navigated the pandemic, shifts in the economic landscape and the retirement of Tom Young, its CEO of 32 years.
Key to the credit union’s success has been “building on an already strong culture while introducing change through clarity of vision and strategic direction,” Butz says. “Looking back,” she adds, “the success of overcoming those challenges required listening.”
Capital Credit Union also added 50 positions, including new roles in project management, continuous improvement, data analytics and cybersecurity.
