Ready-to-drink cocktail producer Carbliss, founded in 2019, differentiates itself in a popular market as the “first and only full-flavor spirits-based cocktail in a can that offers zero carbs and zero sugars,” says CEO Adam Kroener, who founded the company along with his wife, Amanda.
A prizewinner at multiple Seltzerland events, Carbliss makes multiple fruit-flavored vodka drinks and recently added cocktails including mojitos and Moscow mules.
The challenge for Kroener has been keeping up with the product’s popularity. “We scale so fast that for six months out of the year we always need money to hit our next stage of growth,” he says.
In 2021, the company brought on an angel investor, which allowed Carbliss to start hiring team members and enabled banking relationships that helped the company build inventory.
Kroener attributes the company’s rapid growth to its “patiently aggressive” strategy, expanding “backyard to backyard,” he says. “Many brands in our position try to go national. We are a nationally ranked player, and still launch only a few counties at a time to ensure we are entrenching ourselves into each market.”
