Carnivore Meat Company, manufacturer of premium raw frozen and freeze-dried pet food and treats, has experienced “explosive growth” since it was founded in 2009. Chief Commercial Officer Nick Ebert says the company has experienced 160% growth since 2019.
The company plans to stay on that trajectory, continuing to drive “aggressive growth domestically and internationally, which is why we have invested in a 235,000-square-foot headquarters and manufacturing facility in Green Bay,” Ebert says.
Ebert says the raw pet food industry in general is projected to grow to $2.3 billion by 2025, with more dog and cat owners seeking healthier, convenient options for their pets. Carnivore products use only whole-animal, minimally processed, butcher-cut protein.
Carnivore recently partnered with Arbor Investments to support building its new facilities, develop new talent and launch a refresh of its rapidly growing Vital Essentials brand. Additionally, Ebert says, Carnivore is focused on sustainability efforts such as partnering with Green Bay Packaging on 100% corrugated boxes made with recycled fiber.
