Josh Diedrich

For 25 years, Josh Diedrich has led multiple efforts to raise millions of dollars supporting the work of the Catholic Church in Northeast Wisconsin. Today, the Catholic Foundation, with more than $200 million in managed assets, is one of the top 10 Catholic Foundations in the country and has distributed more than $50 million from the 300-plus funds and endowments under its management. He was named the second-ever executive director of the foundation in 2018.
An active member of AFP and the International Catholic Stewardship Conference, Diedrich’s dedication to the fundraising profession is evident to all who meet him, as he is always ready to share stories about impact, meaningful relationships built over time or excitement about a new endeavor to support.
“No matter how busy Josh is, he always has time to talk with other fundraising professionals to offer advice, encouragement and support,” wrote one nominator. “And he always has a story to share to motivate a development colleague to stay the course, build relationships and invite investment in their organization.”
Diedrich’s work has touched multiple parishes and communities, including St. Thomas More Parish in Appleton, Catholic Charities, Camp Tekakwitha and the Newman Center in Oshkosh. He oversaw the largest capital campaign in the history of the Catholic Foundation and Diocese of Green Bay; the One by One campaign was a diocesan-wide campaign that raised more than $96 million for the parishes, schools and diocese.
He is a board member for the St. Norbert College Gift Planning Advisory Board and St. Mary’s Catholic Schools in Neenah.
