Nick Curry started his business in 2020 as a side hustle called “The Mosquito Slayer.” But “pest control won my heart,” he admits, and “the rest is history.” Today he is dedicated to learning industry best practices and treatment advancements, as well as technologies and operational improvements to grow Slayer Pest Control beyond the Fox Cities.
Curry says establishing subscription protection plans (“We slay before they prey!”) and retaining satisfied customers have been primary contributors to Slayer’s growth in both residential and commercial markets. The adoption of a CRM has also helped Curry manage his business more effectively, he says. He recently brought on his first employee and plans to add a second soon.
“Our long‑term vision includes expanding service territories, increasing workforce capacity and continuing to become a recognized leader in pest management across Wisconsin,” Curry says.
