As CEO of Valders-based Quality Roasting, Erin Davis says nothing brings her more joy than seeing one of her team members discover a career path about which they’re passionate. “We spend more of our awake hours at our place of work over any other single place,” she says. “It is my duty as a leader to ensure those hours are meaningful to everyone on our team.”
Davis has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in chemical engineering with an emphasis in food processing. She had been serving as Quality Roasting’s director of business operations since 2016 before she took over as CEO this year.
Nominator Tyne Peterson says Davis ensures Quality Roasting supports a variety of nonprofit organizations, and Davis herself is active in the agriculture industry and a speaker at business events. “She creates a great culture and demonstrates what a true leader is,” Peterson says. “She helps employees in many different ways at QR, and she does this as a friend, not a boss.”
In the next decade, “I hope to continue to grow Quality Roasting and our brands into leading names in the feed and food industries,” Davis says.
Originally from Neenah, Davis’s first job was dipping Dilly Bars at the local Dairy Queen.
