ThedaCare
Lexi Wruck says her biggest break was getting the leadership role she currently has at ThedaCare about a year and a half ago. Wruck applied for a role as a recruiter, but her mentor Maggie Lund, chief culture and integration officer for Froedtert ThedaCare, had other ideas and placed her in the managerial role.
Within her first four months with ThedaCare, Wruck helped create a pathway to employing more than 80 young people interested in health care careers, “to pave a constructive way for our next generation of world changers to understand their path forward sooner,” she says.
Wruck, who has a master of public health degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, also earned her doctorate in communications at age 26 from Liberty University. During her undergrad program, she lived in South Africa for several months as part of a public health internship.
Wruck is board president of Wisconsin HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) and is actively involved with Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs.
