Vice President of Regional Strategy and Resource / Age 34 Development
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin
Liz Wollenberg came to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin when a friend of a friend introduced her to the organization.
“Without that introduction, I wouldn’t have found my passion for this work, some of my most notable mentors or the platform to make a difference in the other community efforts I engage in,” says Wollenberg, who counts CEO/President Patti Habeck as “the most kick-butt female boss to work for.”
Wollenberg serves on the board of Fox Cares Foundation, is president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is a founding member of The Monthlies Project, which is one of her proudest achievements. “Over the past two years, this initiative has partnered with over 100 schools and community organizations to distribute over 158,000 period products to individuals facing period poverty,” she says.
Wollenberg and her husband, Luke, have a son, JJ, who is 5. She also has served as a surrogate, delivering “two, seven-pound boys to the most wonderful dads in February 2022.”
