Vanya Koepke was born in Tomsk, Russia, spending part of his childhood in a Russian orphanage. It’s an experience he recounts in his book, “You Are Here for a Purpose: Living Life to the Fullest in All Seasons.” At age 10, he was adopted by a family from West Bend, and today he considers his parents among his mentors. At age 29, Koepke became one of the youngest trustees to be elected to the Village of Hobart, and he also ran for the Brown County Board of Supervisors in 2024.
In his role at Schneider, Koepke helped create “a new team and position to help Schneider’s brokerage Power Only team deliver excellent results for our customers,” he says.
Koepke supports causes around foster care, adoption and homelessness, and he volunteers 250 hours per year between Spring Lake Church, free speaking engagements related to his book and serving at various community events.
Koepke calls the opioid crisis the biggest issue facing Northeast Wisconsin, with high death rate increases year over year. “The majority of these deaths were between ages 18 and 44,” he says.
Koepke lives in Hobart with his wife, Callee.
