Director, Events & Emerging Talent / Age 35
Fox Cities Chamber
Before coming to the Fox Cities Chamber, Aimee Herrick spent nine years in the classroom — a career she found incredibly fulfilling, but she knew it was time for a change.
That’s not to say it was easy to make a career shift. “I went through a period of self‑doubt,” says Herrick, who has a bachelor’s degree in English/language arts teacher education. But taking a chance on a new career ultimately paid off for Herrick, who says stepping out of her comfort zone showed her how much she was capable of.
“I’m so grateful that in my new role, I can still stay connected with schools and give back by celebrating our amazing teachers,” she says.
Herrick says it’s crucial to connect emerging talent with local opportunities. “By building strong connections between schools, teachers and local businesses, we create opportunities for everyone to thrive,” she says.
Herrick also serves as community adviser with Gulfstream’s Student Leadership Program, as a member of the Women’s Fund’s Brighter Female Futures, as a forensics judge with Wrightstown High School, as a committee member with Walk to End Alzheimer’s–Fox Cities and as a board member for Tesla Engineering Charter School.
