For Andrew Knox, wanting to give his family “a safe and comfortable life” has been one of his biggest drivers to succeeding professionally. Another was becoming a long-distance runner (from couch to ultramarathon).

“This showed me that I can accomplish and achieve much more than I think with hard work, determination and the right mindset,” says Knox, who has been with MSI for three years.

One challenge in Knox’s career happened during an acquisition at a previous company. “I found myself not aligning with the culture and my role didn’t necessarily carry over, so I was a bit lost,” he recalls. “This … pushed me to take a leap and risk, which has been a great journey.”

Knox, who has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a marketing emphasis from UW‑Whitewater, believes education is the key to success. “Everyone deserves access to proper education — this is critical for a person and their future,” he says. “Education and people that invest in you help mold and shape who you will be.”

Knox enjoys spending time with his wife Kari, his three children, and his yellow lab, sometimes at the family cottage or in Door County.
