Dr. Zoelle Reinke says the most rewarding part of her career as a chiropractor has been “witnessing the constant success stories of people who have changed their lives for the better.”
It’s something that she’s done for herself. “I grew up in a blue-collar home where survival came before ambition,” she says. “We didn’t talk about careers or degrees; we talked about making it through the week.”
With addiction in her extended family, Reinke’s mother was determined that her kids would have a different path, she says: “We didn’t have much money, but we had love, grit and a fierce desire to break the cycle. That drive — rooted in where I came from — is what pushed me to college, to chiropractic care and to building a life of purpose.”
Reinke completed her studies at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. But her background created a steep learning curve on the entrepreneurial side.
“I had to learn everything from scratch: managing finances, marketing, interpersonal skills and navigating the administrative side of things,” Reinke says. Seeking mentors and business courses helped.
