Age: 39

Director of Marketing and Communications, Legacy Private Trust Company

Corenne Gutierrez’s first “real” job as a bank teller perhaps foretold her pathway, which found her leading marketing for a Top 100 certified public accounting firm before she joined Legacy Private Trust in December 2024.

“But if we’re going all the way back — my very first job ever was as a sandwich artist,” says Gutierrez, a Kewaunee native and UW-Green Bay grad.

With a passion for financial education for kids and young adults, Gutierrez serves as a board member for Junior Achievement of Northeast Wisconsin.

“Financial literacy changes trajectories,” she says. “It builds confidence, independence and long-term stability.”

Gutierrez found her mentors within her own family — her four sisters: “Some people have to search for a sounding board or support system. I was born with mine.”

Best advice: Get as much multi-disciplinary experience as you can. Most early-career marketers are hired for one specific function. Master that role — but don’t stop there. Expand your skill set and challenge yourself. The most valuable marketers are continuous learners who understand how all the pieces connect.

Biggest professional challenge right now: AI is fundamentally transforming marketing execution and consumer behavior. I’m fortunate to work at Legacy Private Trust Company, where AI implementation is approached thoughtfully and strategically. We’re gaining efficiency across departments, especially in marketing. At the same time, we’re studying how AI impacts the client lifecycle. In financial services, trust is foundational. Technology can enhance the experience, but human connection remains the differentiator.

Hidden talent: I’m an expert-level vacation planner. I’ve planned some truly epic trips — the kind where the experiences are so vivid you don’t even need the photos to remember them (although the photos are pretty great, too).
