Founder and CEO, Auvia Health, Inc.
Health and technology entrepreneur Nicole Hurd built Auvia Health — a maternal mental health platform using patented voice biomarker technology — from concept to recognition. And she did it while balancing career, community and motherhood, making it her proudest accomplishment, she says.
Hurd, who says she starts every day with a boxing workout, is a former Women in Technology Wisconsin Future15 honoree and Appleton Startup Week organizer and says she “can turn chaos into a structured product roadmap surprisingly fast.” She hopes over the next decade to see her technology supporting families across the country.
“If I can create something that improves even a small part of someone’s hardest season, while also strengthening our innovation ecosystem here in Northeast Wisconsin, that will feel like success,” she says.
People are surprised to learn: I’m actually introverted. Public speaking and pitching came from practice, not personality.
Biggest professional challenge right now: Building responsible AI in health care is complex. We’re grounding everything in research, clinical evidence and ethical frameworks to ensure technology enhances human connection rather than replaces it.
Can’t live without: My son. He is the reason I build what I build.
