Shareholder, von Briesen & Roper, s.c.
Patrick Leigl built his career in public service before bringing that experience to one of Wisconsin’s prominent law firms.
Before joining von Briesen & Roper’s Neenah office in January 2025, Leigl served as village attorney for Ashwaubenon, and before that he was both an assistant city attorney and assistant district attorney. Leigl says these roles sharpened his ability to navigate complex legal and community challenges.
A Marquette University Law School graduate, Leigl describes law school as “a steady diet of late-night study sessions, all-nighters, and surviving finals that felt designed to test both legal knowledge and emotional endurance.”
In addition to his practice, Leigl serves as vice president of legislation for the Fox Valley SHRM Board of Directors.
Next decade’s goal: I want to continue building experiences and success through my profession and be a positive, reliable presence in my community. If I’m doing it right, I’ll be known as someone people can count on when things get tough.
Best advice: You don’t know all the answers, so don’t be afraid to ask questions. Be patient, pay attention and don’t take mistakes too personally — it’s all part of the process.
Surprising passion: I’m an unapologetic massive ’80s hair metal fan.
