Department of Safety and Professional Services Secretary Dan Hereth announced that Tomorrow’s Home Foundation has earned the department’s $80,000 Manufactured Home Rehabilitation and Recycling Grant.
“Manufactured homes provide thousands of Wisconsin residents and families with an affordable housing option,” Hereth said. “The Tomorrow’s Home Foundation application detailed a plan to assist homeowners statewide to make sure their housing is not only affordable, but also safe and comfortable.”
“We are incredibly grateful to DSPS for awarding Tomorrow’s Home Foundation the Manufactured Home Recycling and Rehabilitation Grant. This funding will allow us to continue our efforts to preserve safe, affordable housing by helping rehabilitate manufactured homes that might otherwise fall into disrepair,” said Katie Daggatt, Executive Director of Tomorrow’s Home Foundation. “Grants like this give us the opportunity to help more manufactured homeowners with critical repairs and extend the life of homes that are vital to so many individuals and families in our communities.”
The grant program is funded by the manufactured home titling fees DSPS collects and directly reinvests into improving Wisconsin’s manufactured home communities.
