Fox Valley Technical College announced a new partnership with Ripon College to create a seamless path for students with an associate degree from FVTC to transfer to Ripon College with junior status to complete their bachelor’s degree.
The agreement was signed by Fox Valley Technical College President Chris Matheny and Ripon College President Victoria Folse Feb. 6.
“This agreement opens exciting new educational pathways for our students,” Matheny said. “Students interested in starting their college journey at FVTC can now seamlessly transfer to Ripon College to pursue a bachelor’s degree. This partnership capitalizes on our close proximity, and shared mission to provide students with accessible and affordable routes to success in higher education.”
Fox Valley Technical College began offering its University Transfer Degree programs in January 2023. The college currently has 377 students actively pursuing an associate of arts or an associate of science degree. Each one consists of 41 credits of general education and 21 credits of electives.
These credits will transfer to Ripon College and position students to complete an associate degree at FVTC and a bachelor’s degree at Ripon College in as little as four years.
“Our commitment at Ripon College to make a four-year education affordable starts with removing barriers,” Folse said. “Our transfer agreement ensures that students who earn an AA or AS degree at Fox Valley Technical College can seamlessly continue their journey toward a BA or BS at Ripon College, fully recognizing the hard work and achievements they have already accomplished.”
