Amazon will build a 216,000-square-foot logistics facility in Sheboygan after the Sheboygan Common Council approved the sale of a property in the SouthPointe Enterprise Campus Jan. 19.

The city sold 58 acres for about $2 million to Amazon.

The facility will be located at the intersection of Stahl Road and Taylor Drive and will serve as a regional hub for the final stage of Amazon’s delivery network.

The project is expected to generate between 150 and 200 direct jobs, with an estimated 450 additional indirect jobs created through related economic activity. Amazon officials expect wages for the direct jobs will be around $22 per hour after a wage study is conducted.

Construction is anticipated to begin in the summer, with operations expected to commence in the summer of 2027.

“This project represents the type of thoughtful, long-term economic development the city has been working toward,” said Taylor Zeinert, the Director of Planning and Development.
