The Appleton Post Crescent reported that McFleshman’s Brewing Co. in downtown Appleton will cut ties with Air Wisconsin after the business was sold.

Co-owners Bobby and Allison Fleshman said in an email to staff and fans they made the decision after reading about the airline’s mass layoffs and hearing about CSI’s acquisition of Air Wisconsin’s operations and 13 jets. In researching CSI, they learned the company “planned to operate ICE missions with Air Wisconsin’s fleet of planes,” the email said.

McFleshmans had brewed a lager that featured Air Wisconsin on its packaging after a handshake deal led to a sponsorship agreement for a music stage at the brewery. The Fleshman’s said it would end that sponsorship and redesign packaging for its El Guapo Mexican Lager.
