The Jor-Mac Company, LLC of Lomira has acquired Muza Metal Products, LLC of Oshkosh. Muza will continue to operate under the same legal entity name of Muza Metal Products, LLC led by President and Chief Operating Officer John Kriz and the existing leadership team. Tony Cavalco will be chief executive officer.
Endries International, Inc. has acquired Ace Bolt & Screw Co. Inc. Terms of the transaction were not provided. Founded in 1969 in Jackson, Mississippi by Randal Clark and Tom Keaton, Ace has grown into one of the largest fastener distributors in the southeastern United States.
Packer Fastener moved its Green Bay distribution center and storefront to a 100,000-square-foot building at 500 Pilgrim Way. The move is a result of the company’s growth and the need for updated facilities and space that can better serve its customers.
The Lawton Standard Co. recently combined with Renaissance Manufacturing Group and its 160 team members as part of an expansion strategy. RMG has the following locations: a ductile iron foundry in Anniston, Alabama; a machine shop in Grafton; and a sales office in Menomonee Falls.
Nutex Health Inc., a Houston-based company, has opened a 21,389-square‑foot hospital on Monroe Road in Green Bay. The Bellevue facility has six overnight beds, an emergency department, imaging and lab services. It does not include an operating room.
Oshkosh Corporation has invested in Eatron Technologies, a pioneering developer of artificial intelligence‑powered battery management software.
Construction
Construction has started on a 9,700-square-foot bank and office for Johnson Financial Group on the north side of Appleton. Bayland Buildings, Inc., in partnership with Redmond Company, is constructing the building on Galaxy Drive.
The Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh will hold an open house May 5 from noon to 4 p.m. to celebrate the completion of the latest phase of construction for its building expansion and community center project. The building at 501 E. Parkway Ave., Oshkosh, underwent an $18 million-dollar expansion.
Grants
Brown County United Way announced a strategic partnership with Wello for the Cultivating Community food box distribution program. United Way funding will enable the program to serve clients of Casa ALBA, COMSA and We All Rise from February to April, while also expanding to rural Brown County from June to August. Wello also was awarded a $180,000 Local Food Purchase Assistance Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.
SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac gave $6,000 to the Fond du Lac County United Way to help support its Ride United program.
Brown County was awarded a $1.5 million Community Development Block Grant for critical housing rehabilitation projects for low- and moderate-income households.
Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s Leadership Alumni hosted an Empty Bowls event and raised more than $8,400 for area food pantries.
Fortifi Bank has committed $100,000 to The Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area’s new site in Ripon.

Improvements at Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport recently received the 2023 Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association/WisDOT Contractor-Engineers Outstanding Construction Project Award. The award was given to contractors Vinton Construction and Mead & Hunt.
Appleton has been named a Hub City by Museums for All after The History Museum at the Castle joined The Building for Kids Children’s Museum and Atlas Science Center in offering reduced admission for families facing financial challenges.

An aged cheddar midget made by Joshua Henning of Henning’s Cheese in Kiel was among the top 20 cheeses in the World Championship Cheese Contest. Second place in the aged cheddar category also was made by Henning’s. In the traditional waxed cheddar, sharp to aged category, Henning’s crafted the top seven winning cheeses. Henning’s Dragon’s Breath cheddar took home a first as well.
Education
UA 400 Pipe Trades and the Mechanical Contractors Association held their Heat Up Your Future Skills Competition for local high school teams at the UA 400 training center in Kaukauna. Winning teams were Reedsville High School, first; Kimberly High School, second; and Green Bay Preble, third. Other schools attending the event included Appleton A-Tech Academy, Appleton East, Bonduel, Denmark, Fond du Lac, Fox Valley Lutheran, Kiel, Little Chute, NEW Lutheran and Wittenberg-Birnamwood.
Moraine Park Technical College celebrated the college’s newly constructed Automation, Innovation and Robotics (AIR) Center on the Fond du Lac Campus Feb. 19. In total, 32 district partners donated $2.7 million to the project. The AIR Center broke ground in May 2023 and was completed in January, just in time for the first class of students in the spring 2024 semester.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Sheboygan County announced it will sell its building located at 107 Cedar St., Sheboygan Falls, as it focuses on school-based programs that maximize existing spaces and reduce transportation barriers.
