Suburban Fabrication will utilize a majority of the shop and warehouse space to meet increasing demand.
Oshkosh Defense, LLC recently received multiple orders for additional Family of Medium Tactical Vehicle A2 trucks and trailers by the U.S. Army Contacting Command – Detroit Arsenal. The orders are worth $214.8 million.

Keller, Inc. is the architect and general contractor on a 25,000-square-foot addition and reroof project for Print Pro Inc. in De Pere. Keller, Inc. is also completing a 43,000-square-foot production and warehouse addition project for Crane Engineering in Kimberly and a 1,500-square-foot remodel for Nercon in Oconto that will include a fitness room, office and training space for employees.
Fox Cities Builders is partnering with BE’S Refreshments on its upcoming construction project, including a distribution center, modern office spaces with restrooms, mechanical room and a truck dock with four loading bays. Fox Cities Builders is also partnering with Stone Creations in Shawano on its upcoming construction project that will include a new manufacturing facility, office area, restrooms, mechanical room and truck dock.

Grants
In 2024, Stephenson National Bank & Trust donated more than $158,000 in scholarships and monetary contributions to aid nonprofits in Marinette, Oconto and Brown counties.
The SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital medical staff donated $2,500 to the Fond du Lac Area United Way to support the Ripon Area School District’s weekend backpack food program for children on free and reduced lunch.
Education
Fox Valley Technical College announced a new partnership with Ripon College to create a seamless path for students with FVTC associate degrees to transfer to Ripon College with junior status to complete bachelor’s degrees.
The American Welding Society has certified Lakeshore College meets all requirements to continue operating as one of the society’s four accredited welding test facilities in Wisconsin. The college became accredited in 2020 and has since granted 159 AWS certifications to welders from Wisconsin and other states.
The Lakeshore College Foundation awarded $268,000 to spring semester students, pushing its total awards for the 2024-25 academic year 81% over the previous year to $577,000. The Kohler Foundation Advantage, Richard F. Brindza Memorial and Adam Steel Fund are the new scholarships that led to the Lakeshore College Foundation more than doubling the number of full-tuition awards to students.
The Bellin College Healthcare Academy began in the 2022-23 school year with 34 students from three area high schools, among them 18 students from Luxemburg-Casco. L-C subsequently had 26 students participate in the 2023-24 and 2024-25 academic years. This year, 17 Northeast Wisconsin high schools representing more than 200 students are taking courses through the HCA.
The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs named Lawrence University as a Fulbright Student Top Producing Institution, the second time Lawrence has earned the honor in the past seven years. Lawrence is one of 84 institutions across the country recognized in the student category.
Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative will offer $10,000 in secondary education scholarships to its membership, the cooperative announced last month. Two $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to current students pursuing degrees in four- or two-year programs, and three $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors. The application deadline is April 18.

Door County Land Trust acquired 47 acres along the Ahnapee River in the town of Forestville. It consists mostly of emergent marsh and includes river and streambank, wetlands, and a small former hayfield.
SECURA Insurance reported direct written premium in 2024 was $999 million, with $134 million from new business produced in partnership with the company’s independent agent partners. Additionally, SECURA offered more than 16,000 hours of continuing education credits to its agency partners through in-person classes, webinars and on-demand courses on a variety of topics.
