Ascension Wisconsin chief executive officer Daniel Jackson will step down from his role on April 17, according to BizTimes Milwaukee.
“We are grateful for Daniel’s commitment and dedication to Ascension Wisconsin,” Ascension said in a Thursday statement. “During his tenure, Daniel has been instrumental in enhancing the health of communities in Wisconsin and advancing our ministry’s mission. We wish him continued blessings.”
The statement did not elaborate on the reason for Jackson’s departure.
Scott Cihak, currently chief operating officer for Ascension Wisconsin, will serve as interim CEO, according to the spokesperson.
Jackson joined Ascension in 2023 as interim president and CEO of Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital – Milwaukee Campus, but was named CEO of Ascension Wisconsin later that year.
Ascension Wisconsin is a non-profit Catholic health care organization with more than 165 locations, including 10 hospitals and 8 urgent care locations, primarily in Milwaukee, Racine and the Fox Valley.
