New Hires
Krause Group, De Pere, a provider of asset preservation solutions, resources and education for long-term care, added Holly Westervelt as its new vice president of sales.
Gil Peri will serve as the next president and CEO of Children’s Wisconsin, which has hospitals in Milwaukee and Neenah. Peri will start Aug. 12 and succeed Peggy Troy, who will retire this year after 15 years as president and CEO. Peri most recently served as the president of Riley Children’s Health in Indianapolis, part of Indiana University Health and the Indiana University School of Medicine.
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers announced two new hires for its front office. Lynn Sukow and Lucas Scheier have joined the Midwest League affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. Sukow is the new banquet sales and event manager. Scheier is the new assistant director of grounds.
Edge Dairy Farm Cooperative, Green Bay, has hired Sammi Nunez as a digital marketing specialist, overseeing social media strategy and digital marketing efforts.
Fox Communities Credit Union has hired Carlos Hernandez as its new compliance attorney/officer and Krista Draheim as senior vice president of strategic planning and delivery.
Creative Business Services/CBS-Global, LLC of Green Bay has added Norm Monsen as the firm’s vice president.
Gov. Tony Evers appointed Matthew Spence as Sheboygan County Sheriff. The appointment fills a vacancy created by Sheriff Cory Roeseler’s retirement, effective June 3. Spence will complete the remainder of the unexpired term that ends January 2027.
Keller, Inc., a design/build general contractor with offices in the Fox Cities, Madison, Milwaukee and Wausau, has hired five new employees at its Kaukauna location: Dylan Roffers as an on-site supervisor in training; Brandon Aerts, Brody Beck and Jason Woods as building craftsmen; and Hunter Bennin as a youth apprentice. In addition, Bailey Krueger has been promoted to building erection foreman, also working out of the Kaukauna office.
Promotions
For the first time in its history, Hurckman Mechanical has appointed a president from outside the Hurckman family. Jake Warden, who joined HMI in 2015, started as a project manager. He has advanced from there to project management team lead and chief operations coordinator. Brad Hurckman will continue to play a crucial role as CEO and owner.
Edward Policy, the Green Bay Packers’ chief operating officer and general counsel, will become the organization’s next chairman of the board, president and CEO in 2025, succeeding Mark Murphy, who is retiring. Policy, who’s entering his 13th year overall with the organization and seventh as chief operating officer, was elected by the Packers Board of Directors.
First Business Bank announced the promotion of Travis Froze to president of its Northeast Wisconsin Market. Froze has more than 20 years of commercial banking experience in the Fox Valley area, serving primarily family owned businesses and closely held companies of all sizes.
The Boldt Company, a division of The Boldt Group, has named David Thomack its president and Jeff Shipley its chief operating officer. Thomack has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry and previously served as Boldt’s chief operating officer. Shipley has 18 years with Boldt and most recently led Boldt’s San Francisco, Sacramento, Oklahoma City and Detroit offices. Jonathan Ballmer was promoted to vice president and general manager of northern operations, including oversight of office and field operations for Boldt’s offices in Appleton, Green Bay and Stevens Point. He previously served as area manager for Boldt’s Minnesota operations. Jason Krueger has been named as vice president and general manager of Minnesota operations. Ben Bruns was named as vice president of modular and Melanie Taylor vice president of modular manufacturing. Taylor previously served as vice president of self-perform operations; Bruns previously served as vice president and general manager of northern operations.
Sargento Foods, Plymouth, announced Michael Pellegrino has been appointed chief operating officer following the retirement of two long-time company leaders. Mike McEvoy will retire from his position as executive vice president of operations, and Kristi Jankowski will retire from her position as executive vice president of innovation. Pellegrino joined Sargento in 2009. During his tenure he has held various executive positions, including his most recent role as president and chief growth officer.
Galloway Company, Neenah, announced the appointment of Troy Youngbauer as chief operations officer. Youngbauer has been at the helm of the company’s operations as senior director of operations for the past seven years.
Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, Manitowoc, has promoted Aaron Kupsky to vice president and general manager of WAF’s Manitowoc foundry. He will succeed Gregg Rabe, who is retiring after 36 years of service to WAF.
Nick Burger has been promoted to director of membership for Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, the combined state chamber and manufacturers’ association.

Board Appointments
Joe Peikert, president and CEO of Wolf River Community Bank, Hortonville, will serve as the 2024-2025 vice chair of the Wisconsin Bankers Association board of directors. Also serving as onboard officers are chair Alvaro Araque, SVP, director of consumer, private and business banking, Johnson Financial Group, Racine; chair-elect Paul Northway, president and CEO, American National Bank-Fox Cities, Appleton; and past chair Donna Hoppenjan, president and CEO, Mound City Bank, Platteville.
The Fox Valley Technical College District board appointment committee selected one new board member and reappointed two current members to fill openings on the FVTC District board of trustees. Margaret Kastner, rehabilitation specialist with Community Care, Inc., was reappointed to another three-year term, filling the employee category. Mike Slowinski, superintendent of Kaukauna Area School District, was reappointed to a three-year term, filling the school district administrator category. Philip Sabee, director of customer experience at Miller Electric Manufacturing, LLC, was appointed to a three-year term, filling the employer category.
The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center announced the appointment of five new board members for the upcoming 2024-2025 season, including Lalu Beré, Plexus Corp.; Sarah Haffer, Kimberly-Clark North America; Dave Kievet, The Boldt Group; Elizabeth Smith, community advocate; and Dan Voss, Miron Construction Co. Inc. Ryan Downs, Oh Snap! Pickling Company, will continue in his role as board chair, and Menasha Corporation retiree Tom Rettler will continue as secretary-treasurer. Heather Beresford, Plexus Corp., will serve as vice chair for the 2024-2025 season.

Education
Jenni Koenecke has been named the new principal at Neenah Middle School for the 2024-25 school year.
The Menominee Indian School District announced it has hired Marcus Denny as its new superintendent. Wendell Waukau retired at the end of the 2023-2024 school year. Denny is a Marine combat veteran with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the College of Menominee Nation and a master’s degree in special education from Metropolitan State University in Denver.
Lakeland University has hired Michael Keibler to lead its cooperative education and career readiness program. Keibler comes to Lakeland from Wayne State College (Nebraska).
