Details were shared June 14 about the Bellin Health Children & Adolescent Center under construction on Ashland Avenue in Ashwaubenon.

When the facility is finished in late summer 2025 it will be two-floor, 75,000-square-foot home for some of Bellin’s pediatric primary care and psychiatric services. It also will house Children’s Wisconsin’s Ashwaubenon Clinic, as well as an array of primary and specialty services. It will be staffed by a mix of new and existing providers from the health systems who see children and adolescents — pediatric and family practice clinicians and specialists.

“As a pediatrician, I have to tell you, this clinic is a dream come true,” said Bellin Health physician Dr. Sherri Hoymant. “It will be a true-game changer for pediatric primary and specialty care in our area, allowing us to provide the best in pediatric and adolescent care under one roof, with more care closer to home for the kids and families of Northeast Wisconsin. I am so thrilled to be celebrating this milestone with all of you today.”

“Children’s Wisconsin has been serving area families through our hospital, specialty clinics and community programs in the northeast for more than 20 years,” said Dr. Matt Buelow, pediatric cardiologist and medical director of the northeast region for Children’s Wisconsin, who spoke at the event. Dr. Buelow is also medical director for Connected for Kids. “We know it’s best for kids and families when they can receive the care they need close to home. That’s why we’re excited to partner with Bellin Health to expand the highly specialized pediatric specialty care we offer in the region through our new Ashwaubenon Clinic.”

The clinic will be operated through the Connected for Kids partnership between Bellin Health, Children’s Wisconsin and ThedaCare. This partnership aims to improve the health and wellbeing of children and adolescents in Northeast and Central Wisconsin, as well as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Through focused coordination, closer alignment and resource investments, the partnership is making a meaningful impact on the lives of children, adolescents, their families and our region’s communities.
