Child Care Resource & Referral celebrated the graduation of seven aspiring child care professionals from Round 3 of the Road to Success program—the first bilingual cohort.
This milestone marks the completion of a 14‑week training series designed to prepare participants for meaningful careers in early childhood education. For the first time, instruction was offered in both English and Spanish.
The comprehensive curriculum covered early childhood development, CPR/AED, safety and first aid, and social‑emotional learning. The program is a collaboration between CCR&R, Forward Service, and the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board. With QUEST funding provided by FVWDB, the training was offered at no cost, along with child care and transportation support throughout the program.
“This bilingual round of Road to Success represents a powerful step toward making child care training more inclusive and accessible,” said Candy Hall, Executive Director of CCR&R. “Our graduates are not only caregivers—they are educators, nurturers, and role models who will shape the lives of children across our community.”
The graduation ceremony featured a light breakfast, certificate presentations, and a celebratory reception attended by family members, CCR&R staff, and representatives from Shine Early Learning and Forward Service Corp.
The three rounds of Road to Success completed in 2025 have qualified a total of 20 participants to work in the field of early education. With the skills gained, graduates are now qualified to serve as lead teachers in child care programs, begin the process of opening regulated family child care businesses in their homes, or pursue further early education career opportunities.
