With hemp in trouble come November, a new bipartisan Senate bill could give states the option to not join the hemp beverage ban, according to Bevnet.
The act would allow states and tribal nations to opt out of the Nov. 13 ban on hemp-derived THC products like seltzers or edibles.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Joni Ernst (R-IA) introduced the Hemp Safety Enforcement Act.
The act would require states to enact things like minimum age limits and allow interstate commerce.
