The Boldt Company, a division of The Boldt Group, has named David Thomack as president and Jeff Shipley as chief operating officer.
Thomack has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry and previously served as Boldt’s chief operating officer. In his 19 years with Boldt, he has successfully led transformational projects across the country and assisted in the development and rollout of the company’s vision and strategy.
“I’m committed to supporting the opportunities that fuel continued growth and success for customers, communities, partners, and employee-owners of The Boldt Company,” Thomack said.
Born and raised in Madison, Thomack earned a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering and a master’s degree in civil engineering and construction management, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He currently lives in Walnut Creek, California and will relocate to the Midwest in September.

Shipley has 18 years with Boldt and most recently led Boldt’s San Francisco, Sacramento, Oklahoma City, and Detroit offices. He now leads construction operations across The Boldt Company, bringing a hands-on approach to leadership, disciplined project controls, Lean construction expertise and a passion for people and safety.

A native of Edmond, Oklahoma, Shipley earned a bachelor’s degree in construction science from the University of Oklahoma. He recently relocated from Oklahoma and lives in Appleton.
This announcement follows the naming of Dave Kievet to president and CEO of The Boldt Group.
