ThedaCare purchased land for a new clinic to replace its two family practice locations on South Commercial Street and Tullar Road in Neenah, as well as the endocrine and internal medicine clinics currently at Theda Clark Medical Center. The newly consolidated clinic will be located on 9.4 acres at 333 N. Green Bay Road. Construction will begin this fall and take 10 to 12 months. ThedaCare also announced Appleton Medical Center will become ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton and Theda Clark Medical Center will become ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah.

Marion Body Works, Inc. and Consolidated Construction Co., Inc. began construction of a new Marion Body Works headquarters at the company’s current location. The existing facility will also be expanded.

Nicolet Bankshares, Inc. and Baylake Corp. announced a merger agreement that will create the largest community bank north of Milwaukee. The combined company would have total assets of $2.2 billion, deposits of $1.8 billion and loans of $1.6 billion. The merger is expected to create the fourth-largest bank headquartered in Wisconsin by deposit market share. Baylake also announced the purchase of the Sister Bay Trading Company building at 2477 S. Bay Shore Drive, Sister Bay. Baylake will move its current Sister Bay operations to the building after renovations. Sister Bay Trading Company will continue to occupy a portion of the building through completion of the project

in 2016.

Fiduciary Partners Inc., a privately-owned trust services company headquartered in Appleton, announced it has surpassed $1 billion in assets under administration. The company recently acquired 2,000 square feet of additional office space in Appleton, opened a new office in Brookfield and added three trust administration specialists.

Consolidated Construction Co. Inc., announced several new projects: Tarantino & Company of Waukesha, remodel of Hyland Crossings assisted living facility in Sun Prairie; New London Engineering, demolition and rebuilding a portion of the existing facility to expand office space; and Tufco Technologies Inc., remodeling office space and manufacturing suites.

Miron Construction Co., Inc. partnered with Somerville Architects|Engineers to remodel Franklin Middle School for Green Bay Area Public School District in Green Bay. The 85,000-square-foot project started in June and is scheduled to be complete in August 2016. Miron will partner with Raasch Engineers|Architects to construct a 25,000-square-foot facility for Miller-Bradford & Risberg, Inc. in DeForest.

KELLER, Planners, Architects, Builders announced several new projects:  a 1,424-square-foot addition for Aramark, Appleton; a 1,000-square-foot scale house building for Goldin Iron & Metal Recycling to include office space for management and support staff in Kaukauna; and a 4,100-square-foot bus garage for Kobussen Busses, Ltd. in Brodhead.

BPM Inc. completed the requirements for inspection and review of the company’s business procedures following a SMETA 4-Pillar Audit regarding the responsibility of its manufacturing processes and business management.

The Federal Communications Commission approved the sale of radio station WEMP-FM to Seehafer Broadcasting of Manitowoc from Mark Heller of Metro North Communications.

U.S. Gain, a division of U.S. Venture, is partnering with Great River Energy to co-locate three GAIN Clean Fuel compressed natural gas stations with Great River Energy’s CNG stations.

Thome Benefit Solutions and Principal Financial Group have merged and will operate as Synergy Advisory Group.

The Community First Fox Cities Marathon presented by Miron Construction Co., Inc. contributed $25,000 to Future Neenah’s Loop Lower Little Lake Butte Des Morts project.

Stoelting Foodservice, a division of The Vollrath Company and manufacturer of frozen dessert equipment, announced The Viola Group as its manufacturer’s representative to manage equipment sales for the United States New England region.

Habitat for Humanity of Oshkosh, Inc. partnered with Candeo Creative to launch a fundraising campaign called Project Impact: Build Our Community. The fundraising campaign, running now until October of this year, will help spread awareness of HFHO’s work in the community as well as increase traffic to the Oshkosh ReStore.

The Appleton Housing Authority received a $159,840 grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration to continue its Home Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program, which assists those experiencing homelessness in their transition to stable, safe, affordable housing in Appleton and surrounding Fox Cities communities. The housing authority also received an Award of Merit from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials for its 2014 Faces of Affordable Housing Annual Report highlighting the stories of families assisted in finding affordable housing through each one of the AHA’s 14 programs.

Rob and Katy Hurrie, proprietors of the Black Pig Restaurant, announced the acquisition of their formerly leased building at 821 N. 8th St., Sheboygan. The Hurries plan to develop a downtown banquet facility on the second floor of the building.

The Stephenson National Bank & Trust’s certification from the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence, LLC has been renewed. SNBT is the only financial institution in the state of Wisconsin to be certified as Investment Advisor for 401(k), 401(a) and Defined Benefit Pension Plans for Fiduciary Excellence.

HIMSS Analytics recognized Agnesian HealthCare for its electronic medical records development for both inpatient and outpatient settings. In achieving a “Stage 6” rating, Agnesian HealthCare is among an estimated 20 percent of health care providers in the country that have successfully adopted EMR technology.

Delta Dental of Wisconsin, Inc. granted $50,000 to the Ministry Door County Medical Center Dental Clinic to support the expanded operations of the clinic over the next two years.

Marco Inc. announced it has been named North Central Partner of the Year by Microsoft’s US Small & Mid-sized Business Champions Club. The company has also assumed the copier sales and service operations previously provided by Crabtree Companies Inc.

BioLife Plasma Services relocated its Menasha plasma collection center to N161 Eisenhower Drive, Appleton.

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay launched the first online master’s degree in data science offered in the University of Wisconsin System. UW-Green Bay is a partner in the new degree with UW-Extension and five other UW System universities.

Fox Valley Technical College and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay announced five new articulation agreements between the two institutions. Associate degree graduates from FVTC’s Automated Manufacturing Systems, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, and Electronic Engineering Technology programs will transfer into UWGB’s Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering Technology program. Mechanical Design Technology associate degree graduates from FVTC can now transfer into UWGB’s Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology as part of the agreement.

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College announced a new policy allowing current and former members of the military to receive college credit for their service.

The Fox Valley Symphony elected new leadership, including: Jeff Amstutz, creative director/principal of A2Z Design, president; Addie Teeters, marketing communication and media relations manager for Expera Specialty Solutions, president elect; Jane Chaganos, treasurer; Priscilla Daniels, secretary; and Peter Gianopolous, immediate past president. newVoices announced new officers for the adult chorus: Jenna Stone, director of the grants office at Lawrence University, president; Jim Weiland, retired president of Image Studios, vice president; Elizabeth (Liz) Sumnicht, an accountant at JA Huth & Associates, treasurer; and Abby Thiesen, a family law attorney at Menn Law, secretary. Mary Schmidt, owner of Schmidt Communicates and former board president, will serve the board in a past president role.

Tonnage for the Port of Green Bay increased by 36,000 metric tons in August compared to last year, though overall tonnage remains down about 10 percent for 2015. The Port is experiencing less ship traffic due to high water levels as well. Ships are able to carry greater payloads, requiring less fuel and emissions to move cargo. The greater loads could help the port meet its goals for the season without an increase in ship traffic.

The American Heart Association presented Holy Family Memorial with the Mission: Lifeline Gold Receiving Quality Achievement Award for excellence in improving quality of care for STEMI (ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction) heart attack patients.

Creative Business Services/CBS-Global, Green Bay, announced the sale of Auto Paint Specialists, Inc., Green Bay, and its companies, APS Tower Paint Company, Inc., Appleton, and LIC, Inc., Green Bay and Appleton, to FinishMaster, Inc. FinishMaster, a subsidiary of Uni-Select, Canada, will continue the Auto Paint Specialists operation.
