Celebrating women in the New North

Local news about the companies, people and issues that impact business in Northeast Wisconsin and beyond.

I feel exceptionally fortunate that I have always been surrounded by strong women: from my mother and sister who raised me; to my former business partner Margaret LeBrun and many female Insight colleagues over the years; to my beautiful wife, Jill, who leads the team at Apple Creek YMCA. Their resilience, wisdom and leadership have left an indelible mark on my life. It’s these memories and experiences that make it an honor for me to celebrate the remarkable women in the New North region through our Women of Influence Awards program.

The Women of Influence Awards are not just about recognition; they are a celebration of the achievements made by local women — be it in their businesses or their communities. These women are leaders, innovators and pioneers. They are the ones who are making a difference every single day.

This is where you come in. We need your help to identify these extraordinary women. Think about the women in your networks and communities who are making significant impacts. These could be your colleagues, mentors, friends or family members whose stories deserve to be told and celebrated.

Nominations are open until March 15 at insightonbusiness.com/women. We are looking for women who not only excel in their professional lives, but also contribute to their communities in meaningful ways. The criteria for nomination encompass a broad range of achievements, and we welcome nominations from all sectors and backgrounds.

I look forward to reading about the inspiring women you nominate. Together, we can make the fifth annual Women of Influence Awards the most impactful yet.
