Local news about the companies, people and issues that impact business in Northeast Wisconsin and beyond.

With parents and grandparents who were business owners, Jodi Schoerner learned early “how to deal with customers, account for money and make wise purchases.” She also stashed away the quarters she earned and saved for college, eventually graduating magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Schoerner joined Masters Gallery Foods in 2004 and became CFO in 2017. During her tenure, the company has grown tremendously, including multiple expansions and the construction of a new, 150,000-square-foot production facility in Oostburg that opened in 2018.

“I worked with bankers, municipalities, the WEDC and attorneys to be able to finance the new building, obtain a tax credit from the WEDC and work with the state of Wisconsin and Oostburg to increase the TIF,” she says. “I asked a lot of questions of my peers and learned a lot along the way.” The building was expanded in 2021.

A graduate of Plymouth High School, Schoerner says she has her dream job. “Not a lot of women become head of finance at a billion-dollar company, and I am proud to have achieved that honor and enjoy mentoring others to achieve their goals,” she says.
