Right after graduating from UW-Green Bay in 2008, Chad Krause began his work with Georgia-Pacific as an entry-level analyst in the company’s Green Bay Broadway facility. In 2015, when GP acquired the Packerland converting facility, Krause became the manager of analysis there.
“In this role, I helped integrate Packerland into GP’s financial systems,” Krause says. “This was a great opportunity to learn pieces of the business I hadn’t had as much exposure to and broaden my experience, including working closely with different capability groups — IT, purchasing, etc. — to make sure all needs were supported.”
Now Krause is the financial planning and analysis lead supporting all Green Bay operations. Among his proudest moments are rising to the challenge of transitioning enterprise resource planning software systems, as well as assisting on economics for large expansion projects.
For the next generation of financial experts, Krause says to “always act with integrity. Continuously be open to learning and transforming the way things are done as technology continues to rapidly advance.”
