Chris Skrobutanas began his accounting career with Virchow Krause, now known as Baker Tilly. He moved into his role at Omni Glass & Paint four years ago — just a few months before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The leadership team immediately began to navigate the challenges, “which included the commitment to not lay off any employees while continuing operations at full capacity,” he says. Simultaneously, the Omni leadership team was transitioning through several retirements and staff changes.
Alongside Accounting Manager Jenny Stingle, Skrobutanas says he oversaw “the implementation of a new payroll system while we hired new leaders and built out the teams. Since then, we’ve strategically built a leadership team equipped with the skills and mindset to embrace change and drive innovation.”
Skrobutanas and his wife, Angela — whom he considers one of his mentors — have lived in Appleton for nearly 20 years, raising five daughters. “We focus our time, talent and treasure on various nonprofit organizations,” he says, “including our local chambers and those that support children.”
