As a young single mom, Danica Kiedinger had to learn how to do more with less. She met her husband, Joe, at age 20 and they launched their leadership services business in 2002, the same year they married. “I’ve been managing the finances since day one, practicing the same skills I used when I was a young single parent,” Kiedinger says.
Among Kiedinger’s proud achievements, she says, is “the negotiation of our current location, other real estate holdings and managing the two recessionary periods.” The Kiedingers also opened Salon 54, which expanded from two to 11 stylists. One of the stylists has since purchased the business.
Kiedinger was involved in Service League and the PALS program, and she and her husband recently hosted an exchange student from Brazil for a year through the AFS exchange program. “I have a soft spot in my heart for kids,” Kiedinger says. “We are always looking to continue to incorporate our team into various efforts to support our community.”
Kiedinger advises future financial leaders to “find the right partners to help support your company. It was a game changer for us when we found the right partnerships.”
