Sixteen years in finance roles at Proctor & Gamble gave Jeremy Behler a strong background for his role at Sargento Foods, which he joined in 2014 to lead financial planning and analysis.
“The implementation of our FP&A efforts across our Sargento production facilities has been key to our continued success and profitability,” Behler says.
Throughout Behler’s career, he has led more than $3 billion in merger and acquisition transactions, including Sargento’s 2022 acquisition of Baker Cheese. He also was instrumental in seeing Sargento through a major expansion after its Balanced Breaks snack product — which pairs cheese with fruit and nuts or crackers — proved extremely popular.
“We decided to lean in and build a new facility to support the future growth of the snack platform,” Behler says. “After multiple successful line extensions, this decision has yielded a great return for Sargento, from both a financial as well as an operational perspective.”
Behler is also a pilot who volunteers flights to relocate rescue animals or to transport medical patients who need travel for specialized treatment.
