Fay Wingrove began her career while in college, working for GM in Janesville. She later joined Kohler Co., a dream employer, where she held several roles. “Learning the financial workings of a world-class company and its data-driven management culture was invaluable,” she says.

Wingrove founded BizCFOs four years ago. One challenge was helping a large firm through some tech-related financial issues, including a large corrupt database — a yearlong project that included a crew of offshore talent to keep the project moving and on budget. “The company transitioned to an ERP and the project was successfully complete,” she says.

Wingrove’s proudest moments include growing her CFO team, she says, “and seeing our clients benefit — in some cases significantly grow — with the help of a strategic financial leader.”

Outside of work, Wingrove serves on the Sheboygan County Board Supervisors and multiple area professional educational organizations. She’s also a mentor through the European organization GrowCFO, and one of her company’s strategic missions is to create greater diversity, equity and inclusion in CFO representation. “At BizCFOs we mentor and pair seasoned CFOs with underrepresented accountants and controllers who grow to become CFOs,” Wingrove says.
