One of the most influential figures in Dan Crociata’s life was his mother, who lost her own mother when she was just 12 years old. “She had to help take care of her other siblings and never finished high school,” Crociata says. “But she knew the value of education and made sure I went to college and instilled the values in me to be a lifelong learner.”
That spirit of curiosity is key to financial leadership, which Crociata says “requires you to understand all aspects of the business and be able to lead beyond your functional role.”
Crociata, who joined the firm in 2023, plays a leading role in the growth strategy for Endries — this includes M&A, with which he has extensive experience. He says he is passionate about “how technology can help improve the distribution industry in areas like automation, AI, RPA.”
Crociata, who earned an MBA and is a Certified Managerial Accountant, says the next generation of financial leaders should “take every opportunity that’s presented to you to grow your career.” Even lateral moves offer a chance to learn, he says. Additionally, “business is ultimately about people. In the world of technology, don’t lose sight of the value of human interaction and relationships.”
