According to Placer.ai, a location analytics firm, the Green Bay Draft received an influx of 312,000 unique visitors, compared to Detroit’s 238,900, which equates to a 31% increase.
The NFL’s attendance numbers are an accurate representation of the number of “turnstile passes” witnessed at each event, but measuring the number of unique visitors gives a better sense of the number of visitors and the resulting economic impact, according to a release from the city of Green Bay.
Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich touted the unique visitors number as evidence of the city’s success and ability to draw more people than the more populous city of Detroit.
According to the National Football League, the NFL draft campus had more than 600,000 visitors.
