Closing church sells space to Building for Kids Children’s Museum

Following years of collaboration, the Building for Kids Children’s Museum has purchased a space adjacent to the museum at 116 N. Appleton St. from Trinity Lutheran Church, which has voted to close after 111 years in downtown Appleton.
No sale price was provided.
The additional space creates new possibilities for the BFKCM to serve children and families, while Trinity will reinvest proceeds from the sale in the community to support local organizations that serve the hungry, newcomers, elderly, queer, homeless, and children in the Fox Cities.
While plans for the space are still being evaluated, the BFKCM is excited about the possibilities the additional square footage could unlock. The expansion will allow the museum to explore new ways to advance its impact and meet the evolving needs of local families.
“We are incredibly grateful for the years of partnership and support we have received from Trinity,” said Oliver Zornow, president of the BFKCM. “This acquisition reflects our shared commitment to strengthening our community and investing in its future.”
