The ColorBold Business Association, Inc. announces the launch of the Entrepreneur of Color Collective Grant Program, an initiative designed to empower Entrepreneurs of Color through business grants, education, and mentorship.

Powered by ColorBold and supported by SCORE Mentors of Northeast Wisconsin and the UW–Madison Division of Extension (Outagamie and Winnebago Counties), the program is sponsored by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.

From a competitive pool of 48 applicants, 19 entrepreneurs representing Brown, Outagamie, Winnebago, Marquette, Shawano, and Menominee counties were selected for the first cohort.

Participants will attend six virtual workshops on topics such as Marketing, Branding, Business Planning, Taxes, Inventory Management, and Social Media. Each entrepreneur will also receive monthly mentorship with SCORE, access to ColorBold’s Community Navigator for one-on-one support, and upon successful completion a $2,500 business grant.

“I am really pleased by how the 1st Cohort is going,” said Kimyatta Ratliff, President & CEO of ColorBold Business Association. “All targets are being hit, and the entrepreneurs are enjoying the program. It’s not just about the business grant—it’s the education, mentorship, networking, and connections with other resources that give me confidence the participants will take action and be equipped for success.”
