There will be a free, one-day workshop for Green Bay area companies that do business with China about how to protect and enforce their intellectual property rights.
Experts from the U.S. government, intellectual property rights attorneys, and local business people will share insights.
Topics will include:
- What businesses need to know about protecting all types of IP in China, particularly small- and medium-sized businesses
- IP developments in China: Challenges and opportunities in a shifting IP environment
- Enforcing IP rights, in both China and the United States, against infringement originating in China
- Export controls and China
- U.S. government resources for U.S. companies
- IP and China: The Green Bay experience
This is an in-person program only and registration must be made by Oct. 23.
It has been organized by the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Office of Policy and International Affairs in collaboration with U.S. Rep. Mike Gallagher’s office, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, the Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce and the United States Commercial Service’s Wisconsin office.
