New hires

Brian Gruender joined Fox Communities Credit Union in the newly created position of senior vice president of technology. Previously, Gruender served as vice president, software engineering at SECURA Insurance.

The Law Firm of Conway, Olejniczak and Jerry, S.C. has hired attorney Samantha Downey to join its team.

Prevea Health welcomed Shelby VanRossum, a board‑certified family medicine physician caring for patients at the Prevea East Mason Health Center, Green Bay; and Fazal Raziq, a board-certified and fellowship-trained critical care and pulmonary medicine physician caring for patients at the Prevea Allouez Health Center, Green Bay. In addition, HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital and Prevea Health welcomed Youssef Ahmed, a board‑certified and fellowship‑trained pediatric intensivist now caring for children in Green Bay.

GLC Minerals, Green Bay, has announced that Julie Basich has joined the firm as sales manager for animal nutrition products.

The SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic welcomed board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist Michelle Bahn‑Palma, who is now seeing patients at the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic in Ripon.

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College announced the appointment of Laura King as vice president of strategy and innovation. King has worked in both student affairs and institutional research at two-year and four-year institutions in Minnesota and Wisconsin for 20 years and has held executive leadership positions for the last seven years.

A-mazing Events, a full-service event management business established in 2005, hired Kaitlyn Bilkey and Alexa Nettekoven as event coordinators.

Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists has added two rheumatologists and one orthopedic and sports medicine physician: non-surgical orthopedic and sports medicine physician Alex Garcia; board certified in both rheumatology and internal medicine, rheumatologist Eric Gowing; and board-certified rheumatologist Elzbieta Perry. OSMS also announced Amy Seehafer as its new chief operating officer.

Jennifer Di Loreto has joined Community First Credit Union’s senior leadership team as chief risk officer. In this newly created role, she will be responsible for Community First’s enterprise risk management, compliance, fraud and security teams. Di Loreto has 12 years of credit union industry experience.

Scott Koss, a diagnostic radiologist, has joined BayCare Clinic Radiology. He is practicing at BayCare Radiology’s main location in Green Bay, within Aurora BayCare Medical Center.

The GameBoard, Sheboygan, hired two new employees: CJ Turner and Keith Wesley Grant, both of Sheboygan.

Promotions

Fox Cities Builders has promoted Travis Feldt to estimator/purchaser. He has been with Fox Cities Builders since 2015, working with and leading field teams as a building foreman.

Appleton International Airport announced that Scott Volberding has been promoted to assistant airport director. Volberding was previously the operations and maintenance manager and director of operations for the airport and has more than 27 years of experience in general aviation.

The Greater Green Bay Chamber announced the transition of Eric DeKorne to assistant vice president of economic development. DeKorne joined the chamber in 2021 as the business retention and expansion manager.

Insight Creative, Inc., a marketing agency based in Green Bay, announced the promotions of seven employees, including Molly Setzer to director of paid and earned media, Olivia Biskobing to media buyer, Sam Rowe to creative director, Melissa Gorzelanczyk to senior copywriter, Justin Parsons to digital and web director, McKenzie Kalscheuer to digital specialist, and Jay Bauer to visual content director.

Pat LeMire has recently been named co-director of senior living and social services practice at M3.

Shea Electric & Communications, LLC announced the promotion of Andrew Borgardt to the position of project manager.

David Vander Bloomen has been named president and chief executive officer of the De Pere Chamber of Commerce. Vander Bloomen was named interim president and CEO by the chamber’s executive committee and board of directors April 1 and will become president and CEO effective Jan. 1.

Foundations Health & Wholeness, a Brown County-based nonprofit, honored three 2024 Ethics in Action Award recipients. Honored were: Barb Bigalke, executive director and founder of the Center for Suicide Awareness and creator of the HOPELINE; Devon Christianson of the Brown County ADRC, who created the Grounded Cafe; and Sara Williams, for her advocacy work with JOSHUA of Green Bay and other organizations, and her commitment to equality.

Festival Foods announced Ryan Jones, operations senior director, received a 2024 GenNext Award from Progressive Grocer.

Weston Timmers, controllers product manager at Werner Electric Supply, has been named to the top rising stars of the electrical industry, a ranking awarded by tED Magazine.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley staff member Jordan Thew recently received the John Alesch Outstanding Program Staff Award for the Midwest region.

Katharine Radovich, director of sales enablement and operations for Fox World Travel’s business travel team, has been recognized among WINiT’s 2024 Top 50 honorees, which highlight women in the business travel agency by the Global Business Travel Association.

Sarah Boden, an SSM Health Prescription Center lead pharmacy technician at Health Plaza A in Fond du Lac, and Tracy Warner, an SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital 5 South medical/oncology certified nursing assistant, are the newest recipients of the Be Exceptional Everyday Award.


Board appointments

Lawrence University announced the election of alumni Lisa Becket and James Gandre to its board of trustees.

The NWTC Foundation appointed Art Bahr to its board of directors. Bahr serves as the senior community development administrator at MSA Professional Services.

Regional leaders Mike Friese of Encapsys LLC, Kelly McCartney of Jewelers Mutual Group and Bethany Skorik of Fincantieri Marine Group have been named to the board of directors of New North Inc., the regional economic development corporation for the 18 counties of Northeast Wisconsin.

McCarty Law LLP announced that attorney Sara Micheletti has been appointed to the legislative committee of the elder law and special needs section of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Jewelers Mutual Group added Dana Lorberg to its board of directors.


Education

Andrew Leavitt, who has served as the UW Oshkosh chancellor for the past 10 years, announced he is stepping down as of June 2025. Leavitt said he will continue as a faculty member and professor of chemistry.

Research by Bellin Health and Bellin Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator Andy Cohen, in conjunction with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Implementation Science and Engineering Lab, was published by JAMA Network Open. The article “Strategies to Deimplement Opioid Prescribing in Primary Care” was released in the journal in October.
