A developer plans to build a 136-unit multifamily residential development in downtown Sheboygan, according to BizTimes Milwaukee.

The project, called Harbor View Lofts, is planned for the former Wells Fargo site northeast of 7th Street and Wisconsin Avenue. The plans include a five-story 126-unit market rate apartment building at the corner of 7th and Wisconsin, and 10 townhomes to be built at the corner of 6th Street and Washington Court.

The apartment building will include eight three-bedroom units, and the ten townhomes will feature three-bedroom layouts.

Harbor View Lofts will be developed by a group led by Jacob Buswell. He is the same developer that is building the 215-unit Malibu Apartments development on the lakefront in Sheboygan.

“This project (Harbor View Lofts) represents exactly the type of redevelopment we want to see in our downtown,” said planning and development director Taylor Zeinert. “By transforming a highly visible property into new housing, we are strengthening our downtown, increasing the availability of family-sized units, and creating attainable housing options for residents.”
