Appleton and the Fox Cities are known to many as the “Paper Valley” for their deep-rooted history in the paper industry. While the region’s traditional paper industry has faced decline, the Paper Valley has reinvented itself as a hub for innovation in flexible packaging, leveraging its expertise in materials science and manufacturing to lead the way in sustainable and advanced packaging solutions.

It’s no coincidence that the Fox Cities Exhibition Center in Appleton will host the 5P Showcase Expo, a two-day event in February spotlighting the future of packaging. Co-hosted by the Green Bay Innovation Group and the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association, the expo will highlight cutting-edge advancements in sustainable packaging, food science and supply chain efficiency.

Northeast Wisconsin’s legacy as a hub for paper and packaging innovation makes it the ideal setting for this showcase. The 5P Showcase builds on this heritage, bringing together industry leaders, innovators and experts to explore the latest technologies shaping the packaging world.

Keynote speaker Michael Manley, head of implementation and transparency at Amazon, will share insights on integrating advanced technologies to enhance supply chain visibility and efficiency. Other notable speakers include Heather Prach of the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association, Natha Dempsey of the Food Packaging Institute and Mark Hunter from Hoffmaster, Inc.
