Thanks to the support of The Canary Fund and NorthCoast Media Group Foundations, Health & Wholeness has released a new video public service announcement for its innovative men’s mental health initiative, Dudes & T.A.C.O.S.
The Dudes & T.A.C.O.S. programming serves to tackle the critical issues and stigma surrounding men’s mental health.
Statistics consistently reveal that middle-aged men have the highest rates of suicide, yet often avoid seeking the mental health support they need to live well. Dudes & T.A.C.O.S emphasizes the importance of fostering genuine connections and organizing engaging, fun, shoulder-to-shoulder events that make mental health support accessible, welcoming, and free from stigma.
“Too many men are suffering in silence,” says Ryan Good, president and CEO of Foundations Health & Wholeness. “Dudes & T.A.C.O.S. is about breaking that silence and changing the narrative of mental health care for men. We are passionate about creating opportunities and spaces where men feel comfortable, connect with others, and learn practical ways to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.”
All men, no matter who, are welcome at these free events.
The video PSA, now available on the Foundations Health & Wholeness website and social media platforms, encourages men to take the first step toward better mental health by participating in Dudes & T.A.C.O.S. events and reaching out for support.
Foundations Health & Wholeness invites community members, partners, and the media to share this important message. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our loved ones, the cherished men in our community, and beyond.
