Employment rates in Wisconsin remained below the national average in November with nearly all of Northeast Wisconsin counties at or below the state rate.
The state’s unemployment rate of 3.3% was lower than the national average of 3.7 percent, according to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
The DWD also said the number of workers topped 3 million, which is a new high. It estimated in 2023, roughly 32,300 workers entered the workforce in Wisconsin.
Employers continue to report a shortage of available workers for job openings.
According to the DWD website the hottest jobs continue to be nursing, manufacturing, marketing, and transportation and logistics.
