Envision Greater Fond du Lac welcomed its first three households to Fond du Lac County through its MakeMyMove Talent Attraction Program.
Envision launched the MakeMyMove initiative in May 2026 as part of its broader workforce strategy to address the county’s workforce needs. The program was made possible through a competitive $346,000 grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and partners Envision with MakeMyMove, a national talent attraction platform.
The goal is to attract 32 working-age households who live, work, and become part of the Fond du Lac County community. With three households now relocated, Envision has just 29 households to go to reach its goal of attracting 32 out-of-state households to Fond du Lac County.
The first three households included a family from Washington state with a member employed by Fond du Lac County; a transplant from Connecticut to Ripon who works at Verve, a Credit Union; and a “boomerang” resident who moved back to the area from Colorado at the encouragement of his aunt.
“These first three households are an exciting milestone for MakeMyMove and for Fond du Lac County,” said Sadie Howell, President and CEO of Envision Greater Fond du Lac. “Each of their stories is different, but they all demonstrate what we want this initiative to accomplish—connecting people with employment opportunities, community amenities, schools, businesses, and a place where they can build their future
